The Mystery of God

The vast majority of adults in our nation profess to believe in a supreme being known as "God". We are all aware that this "God" is indeed a mystery, but IF this mystery would be truly understood by the vast majority of adults we would NOT live in a confused, stressful, divided, chaotic, immoral, and INSANE nation! There is indeed a mystery about an ALL-knowing and ALL-powerful God that is NOT understood, but what CAN be understood is that the unique order and DESIGN of creation DEMANDS the existence and REALITY of this "mysterious" God!
We were all created with the unique ability to THINK, and to have the unique GIFT of intelligence that should tell us of the divine NEED to answer some very VALID questions. What type of VALUE is it for us to search, identify, and BELIEVE spiritual TRUTH? All people were CREATED with the unique "built-in" ability to worship (obey) ANY "god" or ANY religion, but WHY do they all "mysteriously" BELIEVE that they are worshipping the TRUE God? Do all people TRULY have CONTROL over what they BELIEVE? Does our "self-will" (NOT our so-called "free-will") HAVE to be changed in order to be able (yes, ABLE) to identify and BELIEVE spiritual TRUTH? Our modern churches "mysteriously" would rather AVOID these very VALID questions.
We all know that our thoughts determine what we BELIEVE, but our thoughts do NOT "come out of thin air", if you know what I mean. Our GIFT of intelligence tells us that our thoughts are all INSPIRED by spiritual forces and powers beyond our CONTROL! We were all taught and INSPIRED from our YOUTH on what to BELIEVE about the "supposed" TRUE God, so therefore this is WHY it is very difficult to identify what is spiritual TRUTH from what are spiritual LIES and deceptions.
Jesus Christ made this profound statement; "the truth shall make you free" (John 8:32), but the obvious question is this; free from WHAT? Spiritual TRUTH is divinely designed to FREE our hearts from our OWN mental "prison" that KEEPS our hearts DECEIVED about the TRUE God. We indeed would want to "escape" from this mental "prison" IF we would KNOW just how precious spiritual TRUTH truly is! This mental "prison" does NOT allow its "prisoners" to BELIEVE spiritual TRUTH!
The "mystery of God" is a profound spiritual mystery, and can only be unraveled and REVEALED "spiritually". Maybe this article will "shed some light" as to WHY there is a SPIRITUAL "mystery" about an ALL-knowing and ALL-powerful God. As we shall see, the "mystery of God" was declared by God to the prophets that inspired them to write about this "mystery", and about a FUTURE time when it will be a "finished" mystery.
Our GIFT of intelligence tells us that since the TRUE God is indeed a MYSTERY then this is WHY this evil deceived world has INSPIRED thousands of religions along with the "Christian" religion with all the doctrines and teachings that "supposedly" will unravel and REVEAL this "mystery" about the TRUE God! This "mystery" is a divine SECRET that is designed to be KEPT a secret from ALL religions, including the "Christian" religion.
As we shall see, the "mystery of God" CANNOT be unraveled and REVEALED because of "religious rites". We all know that "religious rites" are simply the "religious" practice of RITUALS, and when they are sincerely "practiced" from the HEART they have the "mysterious" POWER to become a "distraction" that will distract (prevent) the precious knowledge that DEFINES the will, desire, and LOVE of the sovereign God that has a "secret" PLAN of salvation for the whole world, as we shall see.
Our GIFT of intelligence will tell us that it is NOT a "coincidence" that throughout all of history ("HIS"-story) is that sinful mankind has always been "mysteriously" inspired to embrace spiritual lies and deceptions INSTEAD of embracing spiritual TRUTH. Yes, it is indeed a "mystery" as to WHY sinful mankind has always been "mysteriously" INSPIRED to ignore or REJECT the spiritual TRUTHS about the TRUE God and HIS divine PLAN of salvation. The precious knowledge of this divine PLAN is HIDDEN within the "mystery of God", as we shall see.
First of all, we need to examine this word "mystery" in the correct context of scripture. This word "mystery" (singular) is found 22 times in the KJ New Testament, but only ONCE is it defined as a FINISHED mystery, spoken of in Revelation 10:7….
Revelation 10:7 KJV But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.
Notice that God DECLARED this mystery to the prophets, and it will be "finished" WHEN the voice of the seventh "angel" (G32) (messenger) begins to "sound" (the seventh "message"). The SIX other "angels" also "sounded" SIX other "messages" of the secret UN-FINISHED "mystery of God". But Jesus Christ was the TRUE "messenger" (NOT seven so-called "angels") that INSPIRED John to write about this secret "un-finished" mystery, and WHEN it will be "finished". The Weymouth Bible describes this "mystery" simply as the "secret purposes of God"….
Revelation 10:7 (Weymouth) "There shall be no further delay; but in the days when the seventh angel blows his trumpet--when he begins to do so--then the secret purposes of God are realized, in accordance with the good news which He gave to His servants the Prophets."
Notice that WHEN this seventh "angel" BEGINS to blow his TRUMPET is WHEN the "secret purposes of God" are realized (or KNOWN). The "good news" (the TRUE GOSPEL) given to the prophets secretly explains the "secret purposes of God", and we shall see WHAT these "secret purposes" ARE. Here is the ONLY other KJ scripture that mentions the "mystery of God"….
Colossians 2:2-3 KJV (2) That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; (3) In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
Notice that ALL riches (ALL "spiritual" RICHES) come from the full assurance of understanding (understanding spiritual TRUTH) to the acknowledgment (or to the KNOWLEDGE) of the "mystery of God"! Also notice that ALL the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are HIDDEN within the "mystery of God". As we all know, the term "treasures" simply means that GODLY wisdom and knowledge is indeed very PRECIOUS! I believe that Colossians 2:2-3 is simply saying that the "mystery of God" involves the "mystery" of the Father and the "mystery" of Christ simply because the Father and Christ are ONE….
John 10:30 KJV I and my Father are one.
John 17:22 KJV And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
From the words of Jesus Christ himself very clearly means that the Father and Christ are indeed ONE God. But most modern churches "mysteriously" ignore or reject WHAT Jesus Christ truly said! This is because most modern churches believe and teach that the ONE God is more that just the TWO "persons" of the Father and Christ, but is instead THREE "persons" known as the "trinity" doctrine. But if (yes, IF) this doctrine is the TRUTH then why (yes, WHY) is the Holy Spirit (the THIRD "person") "mysteriously" NOT included with the "mystery of God"?
Now we must carefully examine the INSPIRED meaning of this word "mystery"; which is the INSPIRED Greek word G3466….
G3466 From a derivative of μύω muō (to shut the mouth); a secret or "mystery" (through the idea of silence imposed by initiation into religious rites): - mystery. Total KJV occurrences: 27
If (yes, IF) we are HONEST this inspired meaning explains WHAT is "silencing" (blocking) the precious knowledge of the SECRET "mystery of God"! I find this most interesting! This precious knowledge of the secret "mystery of God" is silenced (blocked) imposed by initiation (beginning or commencement) into "religious rites"; which as we all know, is the heart-felt "religious" practice of RITUALS. You can’t make this stuff up!
Our GIFT of intelligence tells us that religion HAS to have "rites" (rituals) in order to function as "worship", and religion would "mysteriously" be considered as meaningless without the sincere "practice" of RITUALS! But rituals HAVE to be sincerely "practiced" in order to "silence" (block) the knowledge of the "mystery of God". Yes, rituals "mysteriously" have the POWER to "distract" (prevent) the knowledge of the "mystery of God", and modern churches that sincerely "practice" RITUALS are INSPIRED to ignore or REJECT the knowledge of this "mystery"!
We all know that physical rituals of themselves are harmless, but please understand; they should NOT be practiced from the HEART as "religious" worship since they have the POWER to "distract" (prevent) TRUE worship of the TRUE God! They can also have the POWER to silence and block the spiritual TRUTHS about the "secret" PLAN of salvation that is divinely HIDDEN within the MYSTERY of an ALL-knowing and ALL-powerful God!
This Greek word for "mystery" (G3466) is found 27 times in the KJ New Testament, and as I mentioned before, it is only found ONCE as a "finished" mystery in Revelation 10:7. Our GIFT of intelligence will tell us that when the "mystery of God" is FINISHED (ended) then the "religious rites" known as the sincere heart-felt "religious" practice of RITUALS will also be FINISHED (ended) that divinely SERVED to silence and block the precious knowledge of the "mystery of God".
Most of us are aware that the number "seven" is the number of "completeness", and when Jesus Christ inspired the apostle John to write the SEVENTH "message" means that the "mystery of God" has NOW found its "completeness" so that the divine PLAN of salvation can BEGIN to fulfill its divine PURPOSE!
Our GIFT of intelligence tells us that the literal soundings of the literal trumpets during the old covenant of course pictured and pointed to the spiritual symbolic "soundings" of the trumpets of the SEVEN so-called "angels" mentioned in the book of Revelations. But notice that Paul ALSO wrote about the "trumpet" that shall "sound" at the LAST (seventh) trump….
1Corinthians 15:52 KJV In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
When the seventh "angel" BEGINS to "sound" (Rev 10:7) would be WHEN the dead will BEGIN to be raised incorruptible. But notice that Paul DID NOT say the dead "in Christ", but Paul DID SAY "WE shall be changed"; meaning that "we" would be TRUE believers. When the seventh "angel" blows the LAST symbolic trumpet then this "sound" will BEGIN the spiritual process for ALL the dead to be raised incorruptible. This LAST symbolic trumpet "sound" has EVERYTHING to do with the "mystery of God" being FINISHED for ALL the dead! This is what this article is all about, so PLEASE read it very carefully!
The apostle Paul DID indeed mention the dead "in Christ" in this very revealing and most interesting scripture….
1Thessalonians 4:16 KJV For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Notice that the dead "in Christ" shall rise FIRST. Our GIFT of intelligence tells us that the dead that are NOT "in Christ" will NOT be in the glorious FIRST resurrection! But the dead in 1Cor 15:52 shall STILL be raised INCORRUPTIBLE! Our GIFT of intelligence tells us of the divine NEED to pay close attention on HOW certain words are used in the CORRECT context! ALL the dead will eventually be raised incorruptible; which is WHEN "in Christ" they will ALL be "made alive" (incorruptible); which would also be WHEN God "will have" ALL men to be SAVED….
1Corinthians 15:22 KJV For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
1Timothy 2:4 KJV Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
Most modern churches believe that ALL men "mysteriously" means only a FEW men, but they will "confess" that it is indeed the WILL and desire of God to SAVE ALL men! Our modern churches "mysteriously" ignore or reject the term "will have". This is indeed a very STRONG term that simply means that God not only WILLS and desires ALL men to be saved, but that God WILL indeed "HAVE" ALL men to be SAVED, and to come unto the PRECIOUS knowledge of the TRUTH of the TRUE GOSPEL!
Now we will carefully examine as to WHO "sounds" this all important LAST (seventh) symbolic trumpet. 1Thes 4:16 says very plainly that the Lord himself will "shout" WITH the "voice" of the "archangel", and with the "trump of God". The term "archangel" (G743, G757, and G32) is traced to mean "chief messenger". So the question is; WHO is the "chief messenger" that will divinely "announce" the glorious FIRST resurrection at the "sound" of the LAST symbolic trumpet? The Concordant Literal Version identifies Michael as THE "chief messenger"….
Jude 1:9 CLV Now when Michael, the chief messenger, doubting the Adversary, argued concerning the body of Moses, he dares not bring on a calumniating judging, but said,
The word "THE" is the inspired word; which means that Michael is the ONE and ONLY "chief messenger". But Christ will shout with (yes, WITH) the "voice" of the (yes, THE) archangel! So is it the "voice" of Michael, or is it the "voice" of Jesus Christ that will resurrect ALL the dead? Read the answer for yourself….
John 5:25 KJV Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.
John 5:28 KJV Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
HOLD ON! The dead that "hear" (understand) the voice of the Son of God shall LIVE, but "all that are in the graves" (ALL the dead) shall ALSO "hear" (understand) Christ’s voice, but maybe NOT at the FIRST resurrection! They would be the "unjust" dead that will ALSO be resurrected (Act 24:15) that will face a FUTURE chastisement of "fire" to CORRECT them so that they are then ABLE to "hear" (understand) Christ’s voice and be raised incorruptible, as stated in 1Cor 15:52. Yes, Jesus Christ did say ALL the DEAD shall indeed "hear" (understand) HIS voice! The only difference is that the hour is NOW (John 5:25) for TRUE believers to "hear" (understand) Christ’s "voice" NOW, and they will "spiritually" LIVE during this evil world/age.
When 1Thes 4:16, John 5:25, and John 5:28 are theologically "fitted" together, our GIFT of intelligence will tell us that the "voice" of Jesus Christ, and ALSO the "voice" of Michael the archangel (chief messenger) are ONE and the SAME voice! Our GIFT of intelligence also tells us that Jesus Christ was (and is) indeed the ONE and ONLY "chief messenger". But WHY was the "voice" of Jesus Christ ALSO the "voice" of Michael? Just maybe the name "Michael" was "mysteriously" USED for Jesus Christ’s "voice" since "Michael" (H4317 and H410) means the strength of the Almighty God! This indeed theologically FITS with the STRENGTH and POWER of the "voice" of Jesus Christ!
Modern churches that have the SPIRIT of "religion" with the sincere "practice" of RITUALS might be silencing and blocking the TRUTH about so-called "angels"! This is WHY when they read the LITERAL written "letter" about so-called "angels" they then "mysteriously" ASSUME that they are REAL immortal spirit BEINGS, but the original Holy Scriptures only called them as "messenger(s)".
As we all know, the book of Hebrews talks a lot about so-called "angels", and notice Hebrews 1:5….
Hebrews 1:5 KJV For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?
This all important question was asked; which of the "angels" were called the begotten Son of God? This is WHY our modern churches believe that Jesus Christ could NOT be included with ALL the "supposed" REAL personal so-called "angels"! Our modern churches do NOT realize just how CORRECT they are!
But they obviously are NOT aware of the "hidden" spiritual TRUTHS that "secretly" explain so-called "angels"! Jesus Christ was (and is) indeed a "messenger", but our modern churches ignore or reject that REAL personal so-called "angels" might only be a fantasy! The dilemma for our modern churches is that Michael might ALSO be a fantasy since he was the ONE and ONLY archangel! This is WHY Michael would also NOT be included with ALL the "supposed" REAL personal so-called "angels" that are imagined as fantasy by religious-minded churches and by millions of religious-minded church-goers!
Of course, Jesus Christ was TRULY the ONE and ONLY "chief messenger" that inspired John to write about this SECRET "mystery of God". Our GIFT of intelligence will tell us that it could NOT be SEVEN personal so-called "angels" that inspired John to write about this SECRET "mystery", and to ALSO write about the seventh and last symbolic trumpet that will "sound" to divinely "announce" the FINISHED "mystery of God"!
The term "angel of the Lord" is found 68 times in our beloved KJ Bibles, and it could mean that the Lord himself could be His OWN "messenger". This "mysterious" concept is confirmed in Exodus 3:2-6, which plainly says that the "angel of the Lord" was in the midst of the burning bush, but it ALSO says that God (yes, GOD) called Moses out (yes, OUT) of the midst of the burning bush saying the famous words; "I am the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob". So the question is; was the great "I AM" the "angel of the Lord", or was it God HIMSELF?
This event is also described in Acts 7:30-32 in which Stephen also CONFIRMED this "mysterious" concept that the VOICE of the Lord (NOT a personal so-called "angel") truly spoke to Moses! Yes, it is obvious that there is a profound "hidden" mystery as to WHO or WHAT an ALL-knowing and ALL-powerful sovereign God inspires as HIS "messengers". This following scripture might indeed have a "hidden" theological "clue" about the "secret" world of so-called "angels"….
Revelation 21:17 KJV And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.
A "human" measurement of MAN was the SAME measurement as that of the "angel"! Also the name "Gabriel" (H1403) means "MAN of God" and Gabriel is indeed identified as a MAN in Daniel 9:21. Carefully read the link, "Angels" on my web site.
The priests of Israel many times blew their trumpets, but were they unknowingly "sounding" the divine secret PLAN of salvation, and did they also unknowingly "sound" as to WHEN this divine secret PLAN will BEGIN to be fulfilled?
There is a certain meaning for "trumpet" (H8643) that is found 36 times that simply means CLAMOR (loud noise) of the acclamation (loud "announcement") of joy (yes, JOY), or the loud "announcement" of a battle cry. The blowing of trumpets by the Israelite priests loudly "announced" the SEVEN "feasts" appointed at certain days of the Hebrew calendar. A "feast" could simply be called a festival; which as we all know, is simply a time of JOY and celebration at certain events. The priests blew these trumpets to loudly "sound" the CLAMOR of JOY at these SEVEN feasts in celebration of UNKNOWN future events that these SEVEN feasts pictured and pointed to!
The "seventh day" Sabbath was ALSO a "feast day" (Lev 23:2-3); which of course would be INCLUDED with the three feasts during the SPRING harvest of grains along with the three feasts during the FALL harvest of grains, which would THEN be the HUGE, COMPLETE, and FINISHED harvest of grains!
The FIRST secret "message" of the future PLAN of salvation was the PASSOVER, and Israel was to strike the shed blood of the PASSOVER lamb over the doors, and when the LORD saw the Lamb’s blood (Exo 12:23) He then "passed-over" the doors and SAVED Israel from DEATH! This event pictured and pointed to the FUTURE "lamb of God" (John 1:29, 36) that also shed HIS blood, NOT only for the sins of the early believers, but ALSO for the sins of the WHOLE world! Notice 1John 2:2….
1John 2:2 KJV And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
The term "propitiation" (G2434) simply means "atonement", or an "expiator" (one that "makes amends"). Jesus Christ was the PERFECT "expiator" that AMENDED (altered) the penalty of the SINS of the whole world! Our GIFT of intelligence tells us that SINCE Jesus Christ "altered" the penalty of the SINS of the WHOLE world HE therefore ALSO "passed-over" the whole world to eventually SAVE the whole world ALSO from DEATH! By this theological premise our GIFT of intelligence also tells us that 1John 2:2 might indeed be a major theological "clue" that will unravel and REVEAL what the "mystery of God" is all about!
The SECRET "message" of the "feast of unleavened bread" was that SIN itself still HAD to be "put away" so that the sacrifice of the TRUE PASSOVER lamb would be effective, and again, not only for TRUE believers, but ALSO for the WHOLE world! But this feast provided only a temporary remedy for the problem of SIN for Israel, and this temporary remedy was that Israel was commanded to EAT (consume) unleavened bread for seven days, and Israel was also commanded to "put away" leaven out of their houses, as explained in Exodus 12:15….
Exodus 12:15 KJV Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.
Notice that any Israelite soul that ate (consumed) "leavened" bread would be "cut off" from Israel, and to be "cut off" from Israel meant to be "cut off" FROM the inheritance and blessings promised to Israel! This "mysterious", cruel, and unusual punishment was caused by the "mysterious" and "unusual" SIN of NOT eating (consuming) UN-leavened bread! Notice that Jesus Christ also "put away" SIN by the sacrifice of himself….
Hebrews 9:26 KJV For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself
The term, "put away" (G115) simply means cancellation. Jesus Christ suffered ONCE to "cancel" (put away) the POWER of SIN for the divine PURPOSE to "cancel" and destroy DEATH (1Cor 15:26). DEATH is destroyed so that ALL men can have LIFE!
Notice the SINS that "leaven" pictured and pointed to….
Luke 12:1 KJV Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
1Corinthians 5:8 KJV Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
TRUE believers are INSPIRED to RESIST the SPIRITS of hypocrisy, malice, and wickedness because Christ has cancelled (put away) the POWER of "spiritual leaven" from their hearts!
We all know that "leaven" is simply YEAST that "puffs up" for baking purposes. Our GIFT of intelligence tells us that when we "mentally" EAT we mentally "consume" spiritual food, and the "food" of spiritual TRUTH is designed to inspire humility; which will "cancel" (put away) our "puffed up" (inflated) EGO and PRIDE of self-importance! By Israel cleaning leaven out of their houses pictured and pointed to the POWER of Christ that will spiritually "clean" the "house" of our "puffed up" EGO and PRIDE that will FREE our hearts (our "house") of our OWN mental "prison" so that we are ABLE to believe spiritual TRUTH!
Another SECRET "message" of the future PLAN of salvation was the feast of "first-fruits" that consisted of seven Sabbaths leading to Pentecost (50th day). Israel was to take a "sheaf" (heap) of their "first-fruits" (H7225); which means the FIRST in rank (BEST choice) harvest of grains to the priest (Lev 23:10-11). On the 50th day the priest was to "wave" this "sheaf-offering" before the LORD to be accepted as the BEST choice of "first-fruits" that FINISHED the SPRING harvest of grains. Our GIFT of intelligent tells us that this OLD covenant feast pictured and pointed to Jesus Christ accepting the BEST choice of the "first-fruits" harvest of SOULS of the NEW covenant. This is what the WARNINGS of the New Testament were all about!
The saints were to be spiritually PREPARED, not only on MORAL issues but they were warned NOT to TRUST in the "works" of the old covenant, and were also warned NOT to be spiritually DECEIVED so that they would be qualified as the BEST choice of "first-fruits" for the glorious FIRST resurrection! This precious REWARD of being accepted by Jesus Christ as the BEST choice of "first-fruits" had to be EARNED! Carefully read the link, "Overcome" on my web site.
The feasts of the OLD covenant pictured and pointed to the "mystery" of the spiritual realities of the NEW covenant! The feasts in the SPRING season pictured and pointed to the "first-fruits" SPRING "harvest" of SOULS, and the feasts in the FALL season pictured and pointed to the HUGE, COMPLETE, and FINISHED "harvest" of SOULS. The "feast of tabernacles" was the seventh and LAST feast of the Hebrew year when the priests LOUDLY blew the seventh and LAST trumpet with the seventh and LAST secret "message" to "announce" the most JOYFUL time to celebrate an UNKNOWN future event when the "mystery of God" would be ENDED and FINISHED!
Israel was commanded to dwell in "booths" for seven days and the term "booths" (H5521) simply means "hut" that was translated as "tabernacle"; which was WHY it was called the "feast of tabernacles". As we all know, "tabernacle" could simply be called a temporary dwelling; which pictured and pointed to sinful mankind also dwelling in the PRISON of the Temporary "tabernacles" of their sinful bodies. This feast also pictured and pointed to the great JOY when sinful mankind will be FREE from their "tabernacles" of DEATH!
When the seventh angel "sounded" to "announce" the seventh and LAST secret "message" than this symbolic "sound" pictured and pointed to a FUTURE time of great JOY of the HUGE, COMPLETE, and FINISHED "harvest" of SOULS! These souls will then all experience great JOY and total FREEDOM from the PRISON of their temporary "tabernacles" of DEATH, and will no longer suffer DEATH, sorrow, crying, and no more PAIN….
Revelation 21:4 KJV And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
The SECRET "message" of the "feast of trumpets" in the FALL season was also a JOYFUL time of celebration of the memorial (to be remembered) of the "blowing of trumpets"….
Leviticus 23:24 KJV Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.
The blowing of trumpets was to be remembered simply because they loudly "announced" SEVEN secret "messages" that pictured and pointed to the SEVEN (complete) secret events that "mysteriously" explains HOW the eventual salvation of the WHOLE world will be a competed and finished REALITY!
The SECRET "message" of the "day of atonement" in the FALL season was that Israel was to "afflict" their souls (Lev 23:27); which pictured and pointed to Jesus Christ also being the "atonement" for the "afflicted" souls of ALL sinful mankind. As explained in 1John 2:2 Christ was indeed the "atonement" and PERFECT "expiator" that AMENDED (altered) the penalty of the sins of the WHOLE world! Our GIFT of intelligence tells us that the SOULS of all mankind are indeed "afflicted" with the deadly disease known as SIN! Israel was commanded to imitate (copy) this deadly "affliction" by denying (afflicting) their OWN souls of food and drink (fasting) for one day.
Israel was also commanded to imitate (copy) the temporary remedy for SIN by the strict obedience to the seven holy feasts, and our GIFT of intelligence tells us that Israel was USED by the sovereign God to picture and point to the TRUE remedy for SIN! Our GIFT of intelligence also tells us that ALL of sinful mankind is in desperate NEED of this TRUE remedy for SIN that will be a REALITY when the "mystery of God" is FINISHED!
Now we will carefully examine the SECRET "message" of the commanded Sabbath days of the old covenant, and WHAT they pictured and pointed to. The nation of Israel did NOT enter the TRUE spiritual rest of God because of UNBELIEF, and this unbelief of Israel and the TRUE spiritual rest of God is explained in the book of Hebrews chapters three and four. Israel did NOT enter the TRUE spiritual rest, but they were STILL keeping the "seventh day" Sabbath and also the other "feast day" Sabbaths under the divine leadership of Joshua!
The name "Joshua" (H3091) means "Jehovah-saved", and the name "Jehovah" (H3068) means "self-existent". The TRUE God is the God that SAVES, and is the "self-existent" one that "exists" on his OWN POWER! So why was Israel NOT SAVED when they entered into the "promised land" under Joshua? Joshua "mysteriously" did NOT teach Israel that the "promised land" pictured and pointed to the TRUE spiritual rest of God. Yes, this is WHY Israel was in UNBELIEF to God’s TRUE spiritual rest simply because Joshua "mysteriously" was NOT inspired to TEACH Israel of this TRUE spiritual rest of God!
The Sabbath day "mysteriously" had a DEATH penalty for NOT physically RESTING every seventh day. What a "mysterious", cruel, and unusual punishment! Under the old covenant to NOT RESIST the SPIRIT of REBELLION was indeed punishable by DEATH, but ALSO to REFUSE to physically REST every seventh day made a mockery of the TRUE spiritual rest of God. Israel was held accountable since Israel promised to do (yes, DO) the LAWS of the old covenant that included the LAW of physical REST every seventh day, and ALSO the LAW to WORK six days.
These LAWS pictured and pointed to God "working" six days to create a physical creation, and then spiritually "resting" on the spiritual "seventh day"; which is (yes, IS) this TRUE spiritual REST that TRUE believers will spiritually enter into with (yes, WITH) God.
When the Jews accused Jesus Christ of breaking the Sabbath day they wanted to KILL him simply because of this DEATH penalty, and here is Jesus Christ’s response….
John 5:16-17 KJV (16) And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day. (17) But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.
Christ and His Father are spiritually "working" to COMPLETE and FINISH the divine PURPOSE of the creation of mankind, but they are also in a "continual" spiritual REST. As we shall see, TRUE believers are to spiritually "labor" to enter into this "continual" spiritual REST with Christ and His Father; which most certainly is NOT every "seventh day"!
This brings us to a very interesting and most important biblical FACT; which is that the EXACT phrase, "seventh day of the WEEK" is "mysteriously" NOT found in the entire Bible! It is always worded as the "seventh day", and NOT worded as the "seventh day of the WEEK"! So what does this "mysterious" biblical FACT tell us?
The FIRST "feast-day" Sabbath of every Hebrew year was always on the FIRST day of the "feast of unleavened bread"; as explained in Leviticus 23:6-8, and notice the term "no servile work" that was commanded TWICE….
Leviticus 23:6-8 KJV (6) And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread. (7) In the first day ye shall have an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. (8) But ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD seven days: in the seventh day is an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.
The "no servile work" Sabbath was commanded at every feast, but the Sabbath in Lev 23:3 (fourth commandment) was ONLY "no work"; NOT "servile" work! This "no work" Sabbath (H4399) means "deputyship" (someone authorized) to do the "work" of employment; which could mean the "work" of doing "business", and it NEVER meant "servile work"! But the "no servile work" Sabbath (H5656) means NO "work" of ANY KIND; which means that the feast day Sabbaths "mysteriously" had a different divine PURPOSE than the fourth commandment!
The FIRST "no servile work" Sabbath of every Hebrew year was always on the FIRST day of "unleavened bread", but seven days later "no servile work" was AGAIN commanded (Lev 23:8); which BEGAN the "seventh day" cycle throughout the entire Hebrew year. The principle of the "seventh day" cycle was that it BEGAN on a certain day of the MONTH, and NOT on a certain day of the WEEK! It is the SAME principle as anniversaries and birthdays falling on the SAME day of the MONTH year after year.
This "seventh day" cycle was "renewed" on the fifteenth day of the FIRST month of the following Hebrew year, but this "seventh day" cycle might have been altered or "shifted" since it HAD to include the other commanded "no servile work" feast day Sabbaths. This could be WHY the "seventh day of the WEEK" is "mysteriously" NOT found in the entire Bible! So WHY do certain "Sabbath-keeping" church groups "mysteriously" ASSUME that the Sabbath day HAS to be on a Saturday?
Saturday is indeed the "seventh day of the WEEK" according to our modern "Gregorian" calendars, which was "mysteriously" named after a religious-minded Catholic pope in the year 1582. The Jewish Hebrew calendar had become "outdated" and "obsolete", which HAD to be replaced by a more "accurate" calendar with the days of the week "mysteriously" named after Babylonian FALSE gods; in which the religious-minded Catholic Church and their religious-minded popes BELIEVED in!
We all know that the Catholic Church is all about the obedience to "religious rites" that are generally BASED on the "religious" BELIEFS of the FALSE gods of ancient Babylon! It is common knowledge that our denominational churches could be called "off-shoots" of the Catholic Church, so therefore they are ALSO somewhat involved with "religious rites", and ALSO the "religious" BELIEFS of the FALSE gods of ancient Babylon. Again, the "seventh day of the week" is NOT found in the entire Bible, and this is WHY the New Testament Sabbath day DID NOT have fall on the "seventh day of the WEEK"! Our GIFT of intelligence tells us that there is NO biblical authority to make the New Testament Sabbath day to always fall on a SATURDAY!
The "first day of the week" is "mysteriously" mentioned EIGHT times in the KJ New Testament, and the "eighth day" is "mysteriously" mentioned 21 times (7 times 3) in the entire KJ Bible. "Seven" is the number of "completeness", but a Google search says that "eight" is the number of a "new beginning" or a "new creation".
The word "day" in these EIGHT KJ New Testament examples is always in italics, which means that the word "day" was "mysteriously" ADDED to the original text, and the word "week" (G4521) comes from H7676; which simply means the Sabbath. So therefore the phrase, "first day of the week" could simply be worded as the "FIRST Sabbath"! But there was ALSO a FIRST "feast day" Sabbath of the OLD covenant that BEGAN the "seventh day" cycle every Hebrew year, but there could also be a "FIRST Sabbath" of the NEW covenant! I want to explain this possibility.
Jesus Christ was resurrected on the "first day of the week" (FIRST Sabbath) on the "eighth day" that BEGAN the "NEW beginning of a NEW creation"! It took THREE days to FINISH the divine purpose of these very important events that BEGAN the NEW beginning of the NEW Creation of the NEW covenant! Again, "seven" is the number of "completeness" that completed the "mystery" of the 21 (7 times 3) "eighth day" examples that pictured and pointed to the NEW creation!
Day ONE (of the three days) was the PASSOVER when Jesus Christ was killed on the fourteenth day of the FIRST Hebrew month. Day TWO was on the fifteenth day; which was the OLD covenant FIRST "feast day" Sabbath that always fell on the FIRST day of "unleavened bread". Day THREE would be the resurrection of Jesus Christ on the FIRST Sabbath of the NEW covenant that BEGAN the NEW beginning of the NEW creation.
Jesus Christ was resurrected very early in the morning on ONE of the Sabbaths, as explained by the Concordant Literal Version of Mark 16:2….
CLV And, very early in the morning on one of the sabbaths, they are coming to the tomb at the rising of the sun."
There were TWO Sabbaths; the feast day Sabbath on the FIRST day of "unleavened bread", and the following Sabbath was the "every early in the morning" Sabbath. The FIRST feast day Sabbath of the Hebrew year was called a "high day" (John 19:31), and I believe the Jews called it a "high day" because it was ranked ABOVE all other Sabbaths since it was the FIRST Sabbath that BEGAN the HOLY feast days.
There is a flawed "theory" today that claims that the "first day of the week" refers to the "first of the Sabbaths". But the word "week" is singular which refers to the "singular" FIRST Sabbath, and when combined with the "high-day" Sabbath would of course be the TWO Sabbaths. This flawed "theory" means that the "first day of the week" (first Sabbath) would be the FIRST of the seven Sabbaths to Pentecost. But the FIRST Sabbath counting to Pentecost could NOT be the so-called "first day of the week"! This is CONFIRMED by what is plainly stated in Acts 20:6-7….
KJV (6) And we sailed away from Philippi after the days of unleavened bread, and came unto them to Troas in five days; where we abode seven days. (7) And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.
They sailed away from Philippi AFTER the days of unleavened bread, which means that the "first day of week" (FIRST Sabbath) was NOT one of the seven Sabbaths to Pentecost! Twelve days later they assembled on the "first day of the week" (FIRST Sabbath), and I believe they assembled on every FIRST Sabbath to honor the resurrection of Jesus Christ!
There are fourteen KJ New Testament scriptures that say very plainly that Jesus Christ would be resurrected sometime ON the "third day". But there are certain "Bible-believers" today that read the LITERAL "letter" of the "three days and three nights", and they then "mysteriously" ASSUME that Jesus Christ was dead for the EXACT duration of the LITERAL "three days and three nights". But they "mysteriously" ignore or reject these fourteen scriptures that PROVE that Jesus Christ was resurrected sometime ON the "third day".
So if (yes, IF) Christ was dead exactly 72 hours then Christ would have been resurrected one spit second into the FOURTH day; which directly contradicts these fourteen scriptures! Again, the 21 (7 times 3) "eighth day" (NEW creation) examples would APPLY for the resurrection of Jesus Christ to be ON the third day that completed the divine purpose of the 21 (7 times 3) "eighth day" examples!
We are all aware that the nation of Israel was involved with hundreds of RITUALS that were all COMMANDED by the sovereign God! The commanded "seventh day" was in ITSELF a RITUAL, and the commanded physical "rest" was in ITSELF a RITUAL, and the commanded SIX physical "work" days was in ITSELF a RITUAL! The commanded "no servile work" Sabbaths of the HOLY feasts was in ITSELF a RITUAL, and the CORRECT way and manner in HOW the HOLY feasts were to be observed was in ITSELF a RITUAL, and the blowing of trumpets at these HOLY feasts was in ITSELF a RITUAL!
The temporary priesthood of Aaron and Levi could only FUNCTION on the obedience to RITUALS, and the sacrifice of birds and animals were also obedience to RITUALS. The "burnt-offerings" were also obedience to RITUALS that pictured and pointed to the judgments by "fire" to chastise not only TRUE believers, but eventually to ALSO chastise ALL mankind! The strict OBEDIENCE to these RITUALS was WHY Israel was spiritually BLINDED in UNBELIEF to the TRUE spiritual REST of God that also silenced and blocked from Israel the "treasures" of the precious knowledge of the "mystery of God".
We truly NEED to have total peace of mind, and to be FREE of needless anxiety, worry, and fear, and to have TRUE joy and TRUE contentment! This is (yes, IS) the TRUE spiritual rest of God! But notice WHAT we "naturally" DO NOT want to accept….
Hebrews 4:11 KJV Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
Yes, we are to "labor" (make an HONEST effort) to choose by our "self-will" (NOT by our so-called "free-will") to search, identify and BELIEVE spiritual TRUTH; which will LEAD to this TRUE mental and spiritual REST of God! ALL the treasures of Godly wisdom and knowledge are "hidden" within the "mystery of God", and it does indeed take EFFORT to carefully STUDY what God DECLARED to the prophets!
It also takes EFFORT to carefully STUDY to be ABLE to "hear" (understand) the voice of Jesus Christ; which is (yes, IS) to "hear" (understand) the seventh and LAST "message" that will unravel and REVEAL the FINISHED "mystery God". It also takes EFFORT to QUALIFY for the precious REWARD to be accepted by Jesus Christ as the BEST choice of "first-fruits" for the glorious FIRST resurrection! If (yes, IF) you happen to be a "member" of a religious-minded church group then your GIFT of intelligence should tell you that it takes EFFORT to identify and RESIST the SPIRIT of "religion" that could involve the obedience to RITUALS. This indeed takes EFFORT since it would be very "uncomfortable" to explain (with Godly wisdom) to others in your church group that you NO longer BELIEVE in "Christian" RITUALS.
It also takes EFFORT to explain (with Godly wisdom) to others in your church group that what we were all taught and INSPIRED from our YOUTH about the "supposed" TRUE God are simply doctrines and teachings based on the "religious" BELIEFS of the FALSE gods of ancient Babylon. Our GIFT of intelligence tells us of the divine NEED to search and STUDY to see if (yes, IF) our modern "Christian" doctrines and teachings are spiritual TRUTH. Our modern churches "mysteriously" NEVER consider that unbelievers are UNABLE to truly BELIEVE and RESPOND to the TRUE GOSPEL! But our modern churches "mysteriously" consider this unbelief as evil and WICKED, and therefore ALL unbelievers will "go the hell" to be suffer torment for all ETERNITY! It is also believed that ONLY a very few souls will ever be saved that KNEW how to USE the "mysterious" POWER of "free-will". God forbid that our modern churches would even DARE to believe that a sovereign God has a "secret" PLAN to "rescue" (save) ALL mankind so they can fulfill the divine PURPOSE of their creation! The "trinity" doctrine and the "secret rapture" doctrine are also "mysteriously" ASSUMED as spiritual TRUTH.
But our modern "divided" churches do NOT agree exactly ALIKE on doctrine, but WHAT do they generally AGREE on? They generally all agree in the "practice" of TWO most popular "Christian" RITUALS known as "water baptism" and "Holy Communion". The early believers were indeed baptized by water, but they were NOT YET aware that Christ was to baptize them with the Holy Spirit and with FIRE (Luke 3:16), but today it is "mysteriously" more necessary to be baptized by WATER. Our modern churches "mysteriously" are also NOT aware that "Holy Communion" is the SAME RITUAL that Israel practiced many centuries BEFORE the death of Jesus Christ! Our modern religious-minded churches are "mysteriously" NOT known as "TRUTH-minded" churches. Yes, it is the SPIRIT of "religion" that is silencing and blocking our modern churches to be honest "TRUTH-minded" churches that indeed would have the MIND to search, identify, and BELIEVE spiritual TRUTH!
In conclusion; no, it is NOT "wrong" to water baptize and to partake of Holy Communion, and it is also NOT "wrong" if we refuse to STUDY what God DECLARED to the prophets. We will all STILL be SAVED, but maybe NOT as the BEST choice of "first-fruits" for the glorious FIRST resurrection! We might also be silencing and blocking the precious knowledge of the "mystery of God"! Finally I must say that there is nothing more precious than to USE our minds to THINK, and to USE our GIFT of intelligence to search, identify, and believe spiritual TRUTH! Keep in mind that ALL the treasures of GODLY wisdom and knowledge are hidden within the "mystery of God" that will be unraveled and revealed by the secret "message" of the "sounding" of the seventh and LAST symbolic trumpet!
