The City Of Zion Part 12

The Geneses Creation

Introduction

This booklet is part twelve of a fourteen part series on the "City of Zion", and these lessons can also be obtained on CDs or audio cassettes.  I have entitled this subject; "The Geneses Creation", and it is more or less a follow-up of my last lesson called; "Light and Darkness".  Where and how did the awesome creation come from that we can touch and behold with our physical eyes.  We normally take the awesome spender of our physical creation for granted, and it is assumed that God created this most complex creation out of "nothing" by His spoken word.  But the Bible does not (I repeat, does NOT) support the concept that the creation was made out of "nothing".  Everything in existence, visible and invisible, does not exist "on its own", or is self-existent.  Only the Creator God is "self-existent" and everything of all creation came OUT of God, and is in total dependence and is sustained by God.  There are three words that describe how God brings things into existence.  These three words are: "created", "made", and "formed", and these words have different meanings.  Why were three inspired words with different meanings used to describe how God brings things in existence?  It is very interesting that these three words are also used to describe how a people called Israel were brought into existence.  Only a people called Israel that are called by God’s name were (and are) being created, made, and formed out of Mount Zion for the very purpose so that God can show the glory of himself.  God declared through Isaiah in several scriptures that everyone of Israel was created for "My glory", and He will not give His glory to another (Isaiah 48:11).  Therefore we CANNOT theologically make a people called Israel into a "spiritual Israel" without any biblical authority for doing so.  Please read this booklet very carefully….

Today will be part twelve on the city of Zion.  First of all, I want to mention that I thought a lot about what I talked about in my last lesson on the subject I called "light and darkness".  If you recall, I talked about what is written in the first chapter of Geneses, and what caused the light and darkness after the creation of heaven and earth.  There were three evenings and mornings in succession mentioned before the sun was made to rule the day and before the moon was made to rule the night.  That is what is stated as we all know, and we have to ask this very logical question; how can three evenings and mornings in succession; one, two, three, not be caused by the sun before it ruled?  I keep thinking about the way Geneses is worded and I can’t get it out of my mind so I’m extending my last lesson on the subject of light and darkness into this lesson, and I’ve entitled this lesson simply the Geneses creation.

All of us over the years have repeatedly read these verses in Geneses, but did we really give it any thought about what Geneses is actually saying?  And I want to say, there are many scriptures in the Bible that are generally just taken for granted, and do we truly pause and think about what the scriptures are truly telling us?  The point is, we are all aware of certain scriptures that simply do not make any sense.  At least I personally haven’t given a serious second thought the way Geneses is worded.  And I want to ask a question, did any of you ever think about how there could be the passing of three evenings and mornings in succession without the sun causing these three periods of day and night?  I never gave it any thought over the years about what Geneses is truly saying until I gave the lesson on the subject of light and darkness.

Somehow in the scheme of creation what is called darkness was introduced to the creation of heaven and earth, and I’m not going to say that this darkness was caused by an angel called Lucifer that rebelled against God.  You all are familiar with that theory.  Either way, however it happened I believe an almighty and all knowing God intended for darkness to be a part of His plan and in the scheme of His creation.  Then of course as explained in Geneses God said "let there be light" and that light was divided from the darkness.

The point I’m making is that this light and darkness was not caused by the sun, as I tried to explain in my last lesson if you recall.  But maybe this light and darkness can be explained to have the sun somehow causing this light and darkness.  I don’t know, its just that I do not see according to the way Moses was inspired to write Geneses how that three evenings and mornings can pass in succession before the sun was made to rule.

Genesis 1:13-16  KJV And the evening and the morning were the third day.  (14)  And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:  (15)  And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.  (16)  And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

Notice the passing of the third day.  I’m just asking; what caused these three days and nights before God made the two great lights to rule?  I offered an answer to this question in my last lesson, and it is based on what is said in Genesis 2:3:

KJV And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

It’s very interesting that the footnote for the word "created" in Geneses 2:3 is "created to make".  A few other translations also say that God "created to make".  Why was Moses inspired to write that God created, and then he also made all His work?  Why use both the words "created" and also the word "made".  If you recall, I quoted Young’s translation for Geneses 2:3; which says that "God ceased from all His work which God had prepared for making".  What are we to understand from the terms "created to make", and "prepared for making"?

Apparently what God did in all of Geneses chapter one before He rested on the seventh day was bring about a creation that was only in a prepared state of existence, but it obviously did exist.  And not only existed but came about in stages and in sequence in six consecutive evening and morning periods of time.  I cannot explain how God only prepared all the plant and animal life, the revolution of day and night, and also the creation of man before all the creation actually came into physical existence.  A physical existence of plant life, animal life, and the physical existence of man is all that we are able to comprehend with our very limited minds, and supposedly a physical creation is portrayed in Geneses chapter one.

Now we know, as I pointed out in my last lesson; all the plant life did in fact exist before it was in the earth and before it grew, and also the man was not yet formed in physical existence to till the earth.  This is all explained in Geneses 2:5, as we all know.  After the darkness was introduced, the first act that God did was to speak the words; "let there be light".  That word "light" as defined by Strong’s Concordance means that those spoken words of God brought about an illumination in every sense, including brightness such as lightning, but also the brightness that causes happiness, etc.  It simply means making things bright; it is to illuminate and even happiness is included.

What illuminates and shines, or should I say; what causes the way to happiness, which is contentment and true peace of mind as opposed to what causes the opposite of happiness?  God made sure the light was good so when it was shinned in the darkness it divided the light from that darkness.  The word darkness means literally darkness; figuratively it means misery, destruction, death, ignorance, sorrow, wickedness, and obscurity.  The point is, the way to happiness and the way to what is called darkness had to be a part of the creation.

Two opposing ways of life, and apparently that light had to be separate or be divided from what causes misery, destruction, death, ignorance, sorrow, wickedness, and obscurity.  Obscurity simply means things that are hard to see, and to "see" means to understand.  It is to understand the purpose and function of the light; which is to make bright and illuminate what the darkness is.  When the darkness is understood; that understanding then causes happiness, peace of mind, but it must be divided from darkness.

Can now understand that the light that came by the spoken words of God could simply be called the truth of God?  The truth found in the words of God cause the opposite of what darkness is all about.  Light causes everything to be made bright; it causes peace and happiness, and all the good that God wanted for His creation including all the good for the creation of man.  Please understand the point that I am making is that God had to make sure the light was good so that it had the power to divide that darkness BEFORE God prepared the rest of creation, the plant and animal life, and the creation of man.  This was the creation before it was formed into physical existence.

As I mentioned before; I believe it was God’s intention for light and darkness to exist together.  Darkness also had to be a part of the creation.  Light causes everything good, and darkness causes everything bad, and that contrast had to be created and be in place and be active though out all the ages of history so that God’s people are able to see the difference to know how to divide the light from the darkness.  The Spirit of God is the truth and the light that causes God’s people to choose the light; to separate and divide them from the darkness.  If the Spirit, the truth, and the light are not used then God’s people are caused to be a part of the darkness.

I want to now quote exactly how the word "created" is defined by Strong’s Concordance; a primitive root; absolutely to create; qualified to cut down a wood, select, feed as formative processes.  It was translated using the words; choose, create, creator, cut down, dispatch, do, make, and fat.  The word "made" means to do or make in the broadest sense and widest application, and that was generally how it was translated.  But it was also translated as "prepare" in other scriptures; which explains why Young’s used the phrase "prepared for making" in Geneses 2:3.  The word "formed" when God formed Adam means the squeezing into shape; to mold into a form; especially as a potter.

Now I know I am getting nit-picky and technical over three different inspired words of God with three different meanings.  But I want to go out on a spiritual limb, so to speak, and offer my own opinion about the possible reason God inspired three different words to explain how the creation came into existence.  This is just food for thought, but when I quoted the exact meanings given for the word "created" can we honestly conclude that any of those meanings ever imply that "to create" means that the creation came from what we would call "nothing"?  I searched on these three inspired words and I cannot find any verse in the Bible where the word "created" is associated with the word "nothing"; or that it is even implied that the creation came about from what we would call nothing.

Colossians 1:16-17  KJV For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:  (17)  And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

This scripture truly covers the whole creation and all things created, and it goes a long way to explain the creation and where everything visible and invisible came from.  The original Greek reads "in Him"; it should NOT read; "by him were all things created", and it also should NOT read "by Him all things consist".  It should read "in Him".  The Concordant Literal NT says; "for in Him is all created", and verse 17 says; "all has its cohesion in Him."  It’s interesting the word "cohesion" is used and it means the act of sticking together; the state of being united by natural attraction, connection, and dependence.

God is IN all things of His creation; He naturally is united, attracted, connected, and dependent to all things of the whole creation, and all things are likewise naturally united, attracted, connected, and dependent in God.  There is a difference in saying the creation was made IN Him as opposed to saying the creation was made BY Him.  Of course the creation was made BY Him, but that is not the context of what Paul is saying in Colossians.  The point is, the original word is "in Him" not "by Him" which changes the context.  The context is that all the creation, visible and invisible, is IN Christ, and all things of the creation consist and are in cohesion, united, connected, attracted, and dependent to be IN Christ.

Romans 11:36  KJV For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.

The Concordant Literal NT reads; "seeing that out of Him and through Him and for Him is all; to Him be the glory for the eons.  Again "for of him" is not the original wording.  The word "out" is missing in the KJV.  It should read; "for OUT of Him are all things".  So from reading and believing the original Greek wording the whole creation in heaven and earth; visible and invisible is IN Christ, but created OUT of God.  The creation did not come out of what we would call "nothing".  God is spirit (John 4:24), which is Himself; Jehovah the self-existent one; and everything in the universe consists of things out of God’s self; His invisible spiritual power and energy is in all things of the whole creation.  He alone is self-existing; everything else in the universe, visible and invisible, came OUT from God, and nothing exists by itself or apart from the attraction, connection, and dependence of God.

Hebrews 11:3  KJV Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

That word "framed" means to complete thoroughly, that is, repair literally or figuratively, or to adjust.  It was translated using the words; fit, frame, mend, make perfect, prepare, restore.  Notice the word "prepare".  I want to read Hebrews 11:3 in Young’s translation: by faith we understand the ages to have been prepared by a saying of God, in regard to the things seen not having come out of things appearing;  The Analytical Literal Translation reads like this; By faith we understand the ages to have been prepared by a word of God, for the [things] being visible not to have come from the [things] being seen.  Notice the word "ages" is used instead of "worlds", and notice the word "prepared" is also used; which takes us back to Geneses when God prepared the creation.

The ages were framed, prepared, or created by the spoken word of God, and the point is, the ages are directly connected with things not seen; so that, or in regard to the visible things that did not come from things that appear.  So where did the visible things that are seen come from?  Again, it says they did not come from things that appear, or are seen.  So things not seen are still things; which means the creation did not come out of nothing.  It came from things that do not appear; which came from God who is himself invisible.  God does not appear; He is spirit, and from His Spirit come the things seen out of things that do not appear.  Things not seen come from His Spirit; which is His power and energy which flows into, and is connected, and has it’s cohesion with the ages, and with all things of the visible and invisible creation.

Isaiah 43:1-7  KJV But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.  (2)  When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.  (3)  For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.  (4)  Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.  (5)  Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west;  (6)  I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth;  (7)  Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.

Notice Jacob was first "created", and then Israel was "formed".  These are some of the most profound words of the Bible explaining why God created, formed, and made a people called Israel.  Notice the word "even"; even every one that is called by God’s name was created, formed, and then made.  God did not create, form, and make His people called by His name out of nothing.  They all came out of God from mount Zion where God dwells; which is why they can all be called by God’s name.

A people called Israel are called by God’s name, and does that include everyone of a people called Israel?  Isaiah said even every one of the people God called His name on was created, formed, and made for His glory.  That is what Isaiah said so let’s not try to interpret it to mean only a few or a remnant, or something other than what is said.  The question is; when will everyone called by God’s name actually have God’s glory?  Why were three words used to describe the creation of Israel for God’s glory?

As was explained; "created" is defined by Strong’s Concordance as to choose, select, or to feed by formative processes.  To cause a people with God’s name for His glory is done by formative processes; which means that God forms His people for His glory through processes.  This could be explained that God chooses and selects a people and calls them by His name, and then forms by squeezing into shape to make them for His glory.  God does that by feeding His people through formative processes and it does say "even everyone".  Those formative processes could take in all the ages for God to squeeze into shape His people for His glory.  Creation is still in formative processes as explained in Revelation 4:11:

KJV Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

The word "pleasure" means it is God’s determination.  The original Greek reads; "they were and are created".  "Are created" is in the presence tense.  God is determined and its His pleasure to bring about all His creation, which is still being created.

Psalms 102:18  KJV This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people which shall be created shall praise the LORD.

This shows that the creation of a people is in formative processes that are still going on.  The generation to come means a revolution of time or an age to come; in which a people shall be created that will praise Jehovah.  It plainly says the people which shall be created (I repeat; shall be created) during a coming revolution of time.  Obviously most do not praise Jehovah during this revolution of time or this present evil age.  As we read in Isaiah 43:7 even every one that is called by God’s name means that God’s name does not necessarily mean by how it’s pronounced; such as how to pronounce Yahweh.  As defined by Strong’s Concordance God’s name means His honor, authority, and character.

John 14:12-14  KJV Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.  (13)  And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.  (14)  If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

Notice Christ will do anything that we ask so that (I repeat; so that) the Father may be glorified in the Son.  "That the Father may be glorified" means Christ will only do what we ask if (I repeat; if) if it glorifies the Father.  Therefore it does not mean we can just pray for anything expecting that Christ will do it.  If we truly believe on Jesus Christ we are to pray to the Father in Jesus Christ’s name.  To pray in Christ’s name does not necessarily mean that we must be sure to pronounce the name of Christ correctly in Greek so the Father can hear you pronounce Yashua.  No, we are to understand the honor, authority, and character of Jesus Christ and then remind the Father that you are calling on the honor, authority, and character of His Son to give you what you are asking, but again we are to ask only according to His will; meaning we are to ask of things that will glorify the Father.  A people called Israel are still being created; still being formed, and being made for God’s glory that will eventually have God’s honor, authority, and character.  That is the premise of why God calls a people by His name.

2Chronicles 7:14  KJV If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

This is an example that God’s people who are called by God’s name are NOT in humility, they’re NOT seeking God’s face, and they’re still in their wicked ways.  That would include even everyone as Isaiah 43:7 explained.  The point is, they are still called by God’s name; to uphold the honor, authority, and character of God.  God still created, formed, and made them for His glory.  God’s people Israel are biblically connected and associated with mount Zion; they are the daughter of Zion.  But in spite of them not being humble, not seeking God’s face, and are still in their wicked ways; please understand they are still called by God’s name for His glory.

In future lessons I want to talk about the daughter of Zion showing the blindness and their wicked ways, and how God will remove that blindness, heal them, reconcile them, and save them so that they will have God’s glory; which is why they were created, formed, and made.  Keep in mind Isaiah 43 explained this includes "even every one"; and as we will see God’s calls His name also on a people called "all the heathen" and "all the Gentiles."

Malachi 1:11-12  KJV For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name shall be great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name shall be great among the heathen, saith the LORD of hosts.  (12)  But ye have profaned it, in that ye say, The table of the LORD is polluted; and the fruit thereof, even his meat, is contemptible.

God said emphatically as long as the sun rises and goes down that His name; His honor, His authority, His character will be great among the Gentiles and the heathen.  The question is; who are these people?  Who ever they are they are a people that when they offer incense and pure offerings in God’s name; then God’s name will be great among these people.  But they profaned God’s name by saying that God’s offerings of incense and meat on His table is polluted and contemptible.

Who were the people that were given the laws of burnt meat offerings of incense that were offered from God’s table?  It is a people that God called the Gentiles, and point is; God’s honor, His authority, and His character will be great among these people simply because His name is on these people.

Amos 9:11-12  KJV In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:  (12)  That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name, saith the LORD that doeth this.

Acts 15:16-17  After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:  (17)  That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.

Notice that Amos is worded different that Acts.  When David’s tabernacle is raised again it will obviously affect the remnant of Edom.  According to Acts, the remnant of Edom is the same as the "residue of men" that seek after the Lord.  To possess means to occupy by driving out previous tenants and possessing in their place; by implication to seize, to rob, to inherit; also to expel.  The tabernacle of David is the rule of David that will cause the remnant of Edom or the residue, or the rest, remaining, or left over of the men of Edom to seek after the Lord.  But only after Edom is driven out, expelled, and then occupied by the rule of David that the remnant or the remaining left over of Edom will seek after the Lord.  But obviously Edom can also be called heathen and Gentiles; but is God’s name called on Edom?

Both Amos and Acts do not say (I repeat; do not say) that God called His name on the remnant of Edom or on the residue of men.  No, both say; "and all the heathen and Gentiles which are called by my name".  Israel is the only people that biblically are called by God’s name for His glory which would make the ten northern tribes of Israel that God divorced and separated them from their inheritance of mount Zion to be considered in God’s eyes as heathen and Gentile people.

These people will expel, drive out, and then possess Edom after David’s tabernacle is set up again.  Edom is not Israel but obviously a remnant or residue will seek after God when David is again in power after Christ’s return.  The point is, at one time God created, formed, and made these people, and called His name on these people for His glory.  God calls these people heathen and Gentiles because of their blindness and wicked ways; but they are still called by God’s name.  I want to show more examples where the three words created, formed, and made are used.

Isaiah 45:7  KJV I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

I believe this type of light and darkness was talked about in Geneses 1 verse 2; and again this light and darkness was formed, created, and made by God.  This kind of light is contrasted with darkness in the same manner that peace is contrasted with evil and this is all of God; "I Jehovah do all these things".  All these things were in place before the rest of creation was created, made, and later formed in Geneses chapter two.

But there were also plant and animal life, and also periods of evenings and mornings, and also the creation of man was also in place.  But of course God made sure the light was good along with peace so that light had the power to divide the darkness along with evil before the rest of creation; including the creation of man was created and made but not yet formed and squeezed into shape.

Isaiah 45:18  KJV For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.

Notice God not only created the earth, but also formed, made, and established the earth.  This was done through formative processes that involved first, that the earth was in existence being without form and void and in darkness, as explained in Geneses one, as we all know.  Then the earth went through a formative process of light that divided it from that darkness.  Then a formative process of the plant, animal life, and man was in the earth before it was formed to exist in physical form.  And the creation itself is still in formative processes because eventually in the plan of the ages there will be a creation of new heavens and a new earth, and that new creation, including mount Zion, could itself be in formative processes of being squeezed into shape and then made as God intended.

The creation of Geneses shows how the light is called day, and how darkness is called night, and this is all experienced in our physical realm but the point is, the figurative day and night was also created, formed, and made, and can also be experienced.  The figurative day and night is divided by the light, and the physical day and night is also divided by the light called the sun that we see in the sky.  I want to show how the physical light from the sun is biblically, at the same time, showing the figurative spiritual light.

Malachi 4:1-6  KJV For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.  (2)  But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.  (3)  And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts.  (4)  Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.  (5)  Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:  (6)  And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

I find it very interesting that Malachi talks about the sun of righteousness with healing in His wings.  The interesting point is that "sun" is spelled as "SUN" and not spelled as "SON".  But Malachi is obviously talking about Jesus Christ and He is called the sun of righteousness spelled as SUN.  The point is, the sun that we see is a star in the sky is not Jesus Christ with healing in His wings.  Both the sun as a star and also the son as the son of God give light and life to us physically and also spiritually.  Both the light of the day is physically given to us and spiritual light is also given to us from both the sun in the sky and from the son of God.  We can be called "children of the day" spiritually speaking, and likewise there are also "children of the night". I believe Geneses chapter one is explaining how both the physical creation and the spiritual creation was created and made; but not yet physically formed to be physically seen and experienced until Geneses chapter two.

Malachi 4:1-6 as we read, is talking about when the wicked will be treaded down by those that fear God’s name; which is simply those that highly respect the honor, authority, and character of God.  The wicked will be ashes under the soles of those that will be healed, or saved if you will, by the sun of righteousness spelled as SUN.  I believe these are the "first fruits" resurrected to tread down the wicked during the day that figuratively burns as an oven.  Fire and ashes are physical terms and are figuratively used to show the consuming and total destruction of the wicked.  Root and branch are also physical terms showing that the wicked will never take root, or be established again, or to branch out in the same manner as real literal branches of trees down to small little twigs.  Elijah will be a first fruit used to turn the hearts, and if the hearts are not turned and the wicked not totally treaded down then it says; lest I come to smite the earth with a curse.  But this present earth is under a curse anyhow and will be burned up.

2Peter 3:10  KJV But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

This sounds to me like the earth and the heavens are cursed anyhow, and will be replaced by the creation of a new heavens and a new earth, as Peter explained in the following verses.  So did Elijah the prophet and the first fruits fail in turning the hearts and in treading down the wicked since the earth is cursed ANYHOW?  I believe Malachi 4:1-6 is only explaining events when the earth is not yet burned up.  But the wicked are cursed to be burned up and be as ashes before the new earth and new heavens.

But as we know, the Bible says all will eventually be resurrected and stand before God to give an account of their wicked ways, and that of course would include the wicked burned up to ashes that Malachi refers to.  Malachi does not mention the works of the wicked; only that the bodies are burned up simply because only bodies can be turned to ashes; not their spirits and souls.  But when the wicked are resurrected in the white throne judgment of works they all will die the second death when their works are judged and burned up, and all that will be left of the wicked are the souls and spirits with no good works to show for to receive rewards.

I do not believe Malachi was talking about the white throne judgment of works; only the events before the great and dreadful day and before the earth was actually cursed and burned up.  This is all a part of the formative processes of the creation, the making, and the forming of the new heavens and earth which is still going on; which includes Zion, mount Zion, and the daughter of Zion.  Israel is the daughter of Zion that God is creating through formative processes.  He is making, forming squeezing, and molding into shape in what will eventually be for the glory of God.

Amos 4:13  KJV For, lo, he that formeth the mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what is his thought, that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the earth, The LORD, The God of hosts, is his name.

Here again the words formed, created, and made are all used in the same thought.  Everything of a creation has to also be formed and made.  These three words are dependent on each other to explain how things came and will come to be in existence.  God declares to man what his thoughts are and it says He also makes the morning "darkness", and that is not talking about the sun causing this.  That is the same as God forming the light, creating darkness, making peace, and creating evil as we read in Isaiah 45:7.

Everything is of God, and please understand; that would include God also declaring man’s evil thoughts of darkness as well as man’s thoughts of light and peace.  These two opposing ways of life are of God and it was God that provided the light that was good to divide this darkness and evil.  It was God that gave His only begotten son as a gift to the world to be a light that shines out of darkness to divide the light from the darkness.  That light is Christ, who is the way, the truth, and the life.  Since darkness and evil and light and peace is of God ANYHOW; could this be why Christ has to be a GIFT that cannot be earned?  But the light of Christ must be believed on to avoid the wrath of God.  Those that do not believe and live by that shinning light will perish to face the wrath of God (John 3:16).

In conclusion, what is the purpose of God’s wrath if the creation of good and evil is of God anyhow?  Think about that.  God has already determined; it is His pleasure in creating, making, and forming a people for His glory, and that determination will require His wrath in the day of vengeance.  God will achieve what He wants.  Recently I gave a five part series on the wrath of God and if you did not hear these lessons please by all means request them.  The purpose of the wrath of God might not be at all what we think it means.
